Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse, Fidelco Realty Group and Cappelli Enterprise have been selected as master developer for the redevelopment of downtown Yonkers, New York. Yonkers is located on the historic and scenic Hudson River and sits between two of its grandest bridges, the George Washington Bridge and the Tappanzee Bridge. Yonkers' topography and views are magnificent and give rise to its name as the City of Hills. The first phase of the project will be to construct a 6,500-seat ballpark located adjacent to city property off of downtown's Getty Square. Also included in the plans are a 30-story building near Prospect Street on the city's Hudson River waterfront.

As master developers and new visionaries for Yonkers, the team's approach is to transform the city back to its original cosmopolitan identity. The first phase of the redevelopment will be uptown with a large retail complex and a 6,500-seat minor league ballpark located on city property near downtown's Getty Square, which will in turn connect in a pedestrian friendly way to the Hudson River's edge by the day-lighting of the Nepperhan River and its accompanying new streetscapes. On the Hudson River will be a new public and environmentally sensitive waterfront park and public promenade as well as 400 new luxury condominiums. A second phase will include the Ludlow Village area on the Hudson River. The team is working with the community as it explores further redevelopment ideas for this wonderful city.
